Where do Dead
Vampires Go?
Where do vampires go? Since the vampire craze began, I have
wondered this very question. I realize most authors have our own way of the
vampire’s demise. They die by some gruesome death: set ablaze with a cross,
head cut off, set afire until they are dead, and the list goes on according to
the author’s imagination. Yet, no one really thinks of an afterlife.
In my Church, we as Latter Day Saints believe in the Plan of Salvation and the
Atonement of Jesus Christ is that an option for a vampire? Can he/she go to his
or her maker and be forgiven, or is he or she cast to hell forever. What of those who were turned by another’s
selfish reasons? Christians who believed
in Heaven and being a part of the afterlife and live in heaven with their
families forever. Does he or she pay the
price of hell because he or she was forced into an entry into hell? Interesting
question isn’t it?
This is the kind of stuff I think about every day.
How many other authors, screenplay writers, or directors
considered this question? It is a tough one to answer, but it depends on what
you believe where a vampire should go for his resting place forever.
